About Us

About Us

The College of Trichological Science & Practice (CTSP) was created to deliver a suite of bespoke programmes of study to promote the educational standards and clinical practice of trichology.

The suite of trichology programmes available only from CTSP are accredited by EduQual, who are a regulated awarding body, approved by SQA-Accreditation (see: www.eduqual.org.uk). This means that EduQual recognises the academic quality and rigour of our programmes as being ‘fit-for-purpose’ and meeting the needs of our learners in this specialised area.

Why Study with the CTSP?

Why Study with the CTSP?

CTSP believe that to be a safe and effective trichologist you need to have a really good understanding of skin, hair and scalp anatomy and physiology, of cosmetic science and how to identify trichological diseases and disorders. You also need the skills to consult, assess and treat patients who may be suffering hair and scalp conditions or are dealing with the emotional impact of hair loss.

CTSP offer more than just a ‘course’- we’ve created an education and training ‘pathway’ that lets you study and achieve at different recognised academic levels. Our programmes are written by leading practising trichologists and hair scientists, supported by academic experts – so you can be sure every CTSP programme is current, relevant and quality assured – and you will gain an accredited, customised qualification awarded by EduQual. Plus, once you’ve finished your studies, CTSP have a growing network of mentors, tutors and practitioners to support your onward journey.

The pathway is the first of its kind within trichology to be accredited and aligned to a standards framework, to create a series of higher education qualifications at Levels 4, 5* and 6*.

The CTSP provides an ethical and inclusive learning environment, celebrating diversity, alongside up to date delivery methods and content to engage our learners. We strive to create an outstanding learning experience for all our students, with student success and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
